YouTube Marketing News & Insights
While millions of small and medium-sized businesses flock to Google Ads for ease-of-use and varied targeting options, many avoid YouTube Ads in particular “because video is complicated.”
Avoiding video is a recipe for disaster. According to expert projections, video will account for 80% of all web traffic throughout 2019.
Video is a vital part of any business’s marketing strategy and marketing news in 2019. Video traffic will be 82% of all global IP traffic by 2022 — up from 75% percent in 2017. Web visitors are shifting to video — Facebook Watch, IGTV, YouTube has all picked up steam in recent years.
Are you going to take advantage of that trend?
The 150-word outline. All you need to do here is outline what someone will learn from your video. And don’t be afraid to get into the nitty-gritty details here.
In fact, I recommend writing AT LEAST 150 words here. And make sure to use keywords that you want your video to rank for. That way, YouTube can fully understand your video content.
Great YouTube marketing starts with great YouTube descriptions. There are two types of descriptions that every marketer needs to know: A YouTube channel description is the text on your channel’s “About” page. It helps viewers understand what to expect from your brand.
A YouTube video description is the text below each of your videos. It helps viewers find your content and decide whether to watch it. Done right, YouTube descriptions can boost SEO, subscriptions, view counts, and watch time.

How times have changed! Over the past 6 years, the Stories format has become incredibly popular with both consumers and marketers.

LinkedIn News & Insights
Out of 250 million monthly LinkedIn users, only 3 million of those users share weekly content (that’s less than 1%). Which means there’s a lot of opportunity for us content creators!
I sought out an expert to help us know what to include in our LinkedIn profiles that will attract our ideal customer and to understand what type of content our ideal customer is looking for on the LinkedIn platform.
LinkedIn unveiled an update to its branding which features a slightly different logo, a new color palette, and a custom font. Instagram Marketing News & Insights
With more than 25 million business profiles and over 200 million visiting at least one business profile daily, Instagram isn’t the easiest social media channel for brands to master. It can be frustrating to get the attention of the rather distracted users. Let’s look at six frequent pitfalls and how to fix them.
Even though Instagram had been popular long before it was purchased by Facebook, teaming up with the biggest social media platform in the world made it a force to be reckoned with.
With over 1 billion monthly active users, the platform has become a go-to place for marketers across industries and regions of the world. Local family-owned businesses as well as global corporations turn to Instagram to advertise their products and services – and with huge success.
Most of my Instagram ads make sense, even if it’s a depressing kind of sense. Why is Instagram so invested in me purchasing fishing lures? I have not been fishing in many years. Turns out, Instagram assembles a list of all the things that it thinks you like — based on the data it’s pulled from you, of course.
A January 2019 study by TechCrunch shows that at least 500 million Facebook users use the platform’s Stories feature every day. That’s close to 33% of the platform’s 1.57 billion users.
Instagram isn’t left behind either. According to the report, more than 50% of Instagram’s approximately 1 billion users use Instagram Stories every single day.
Well, who doesn’t? I’ve been running numerous Instagram experiments and I’ve finally figured out how to grow my Instagram following. Facebook News & Insights
The campaign recently published this article by our Chief Strategy Officer, Mobbie Nazir examining Facebook’s shift towards Groups and greater privacy, and what it could mean for the value of data in the future. They’ve been kind enough to let us reproduce it below.
Facebook is pivoting to privacy. This has been on the cards for months, but the platform’s F8 developer conference reaffirmed just how high on the agenda it is. “The future is private,” chief executive Mark Zuckerberg said.
The latest social media news from Facebook: The company plans to launch a digital wallet in 2020, setting the stage for global e-commerce opportunities. Facebook announced it is launching a financial subsidiary in 2020 called Calibra that will include a digital wallet offered as a standalone app and built into Messenger and WhatsApp.
The digital wallet will enable global users to make financial transactions using Libra, the newly formed currency powered by blockchain technology backed by Facebook and a number of leading financial, technology and venture capital organizations, including Mastercard, Uber, PayPal, and Andreessen Horowitz.
Facebook’s clear history tool is scheduled to roll out later this month. The clear history tool, which is officially called off-Facebook activity, will give people more transparency and control over the data shared with Facebook from other apps and websites.
When someone disables their off-Facebook activity advertisers will no longer be able to target them based on their behaviors outside of Facebook. This means that targeting options powered by Facebook Pixel and custom audiences built from website visits will no longer be able to be used to reach someone with ads on Facebook-owned channels.
Advertising on Facebook and Instagram involves details which can seem complicated. To nurture skills, advertisers often look for simplified marketing news, how-to instructions for topics, particularly to help them have conversations with people who are less involved with the details of Facebook advertising mechanics. Facebook occasionally releases “one-sheeter” reference documents.
